PLOKAMI TINOS. Going up to Trion Ierarchon st, in the center of Chora, you find the “alani”as it is called by locals, on the right, the small square in front of the church. This is where, Yannis Skoutaris, with almost 30 years of experience from the famous Nautilus of Ysternia, recently set up Plokami. A traditional ouzo – tavern in Cycladic color and island style with white – blue domination, geraniums in colorful pots, tables in the courtyard (or in the air – protected interior veranda) and of course, the octapus’ tentacles that are sunburned in the “lantern” aside shortly before they are grilled on glowing charcoal.

The breeze of the sea reaches to your dishes with seafood dishes cooked with love that prove the grandeur of simplicity when the quality products meet culinary experience and specialization in seafood tastes. Decide your drink between ouzo, local raki or wine and then Yiannis takes on. Grilling steaked octopus, smoked grilled mackerel, fried or scalloped mussels, fresh shells, shrimps and crayfish, but also non-seafood dishes such as a rich variety of cheeses – pastry salads and spicy saganaki with sutzuki. Authentic, favorite flavors, faithful to island tradition. Sometimes a good tomato from the field, properly cooked and served is enough to stand as a main dish, making the surprise…

Pick your Plokami, make a toast and have a Good Summer!
