THRAKA TINOS: New arrival at Panormos! Situated on the picturesque harbor, with amphitheatrical view of the bay that reaches the islet of “Planitis”, Thraka invites you to a delicious trip to its perfect summer environment. Its owner, born in Tinos island, created a tavern with creative, homely oriented cuisine with friendly atmosphere making it the ideal spot for relaxing, drinking your raki and enjoying the well-prepared dishes made from local products.
On the menu, great emphasis has been given to “meze”, with imaginative combinations of seafood and handmade toppings and sauces such as “drunk” cuttlefish with fava, roasted squid with eggplant purée and traditional local flavors (artichoke pie, froutalia omelette, kayana eggs, etc.).
Μeat lovers will enjoy it as it offers plenty of meat variations prepared οn the spit and coals by a most competent cook. Specialties offered are: the “kontosouvli” of four different kinds (pork, lamb, ewe, chicken), the pork pansete on the spit, the “kokoretsi” and the lamb souvlaki. Thraka (=cinder) is not limited to meat, but it is also used for delicious grilled seafood (eg octopus, squid, sardine), while three choices of daily dishes (e.g. rooster cooked in wine, seafood spaghetti, homemade mousaka, etc.) are available.
Thraka, the new proposal of Panormos can also host events (up to 60 people). There’s always the possibility of lamb on the spit orders, upon request.
