On the organized beach of Rochari, near Panormos, Rochari Beach is the alternative choice for diving in the Caribbean mood!

Surely you have spent winter mornings at work or summer afternoons in the city where your mind wandered and you dreamed of the perfectly relaxing beach bar with you staring at the sea, with a cocktail in hand while listening fantastic music. Ten summers ago, Manos and Stefanos had the same dream and made it come true. On the sandy beach of Rohari in Tinos, a few minutes after Panormos, they set up their Caribbean style “Alohari” for friends to gather and realize that we don’t need much in this life to be happy! Summertime and the living is easy…

The same philosophy remains until today. Alohari is unpretentious but at the same time of high quality, atmospheric and cool, with music selections that perfectly match the relaxed atmosphere, while you lie on the knitted poufs and gaze at “Planetis” (=planet in Greek), the small islet right opposite.

Its tropical cocktail list is curated by the legend of the Greek bar scene, Ilias Stergiopoulos (you definitely know him from Baba au Rum in Athens) and if you’re having trouble deciding what to choose first, start with “Picador” the new entry with mezcal or the classic “Rochari Spicy”.

When you get hungry, first pass by the “instagram-friendly” showers (coming out of surfboards) and then delicious Caribbean street food awaits you prepared from chef Ari Roussos and the company “Serial Eaters” that will take you on a journey through the flavors of the Caribbean and Latin America. Excellent tacos, Jamaican jerk and cool salads give you the energy needed to continue undaunted until the evening.

Last but not least: When you are on the island, check the Alohari schedule for its next event, beach party or live concert and if you are lucky enough you will experience moments that you will remember for the whole next winter, until you say “Aloha” again… in the most exotic side of the island!
