KALOPSIA TINOS. Kalopsia restaurant is located very close to the center of Chora and to the new port of Tinos but at the same time at a quiet spot, right above the beach of Kalamia, enjoying magnificent sea view and the ideal relaxing setting. The venue was chosen and transformed with high aesthetics by the award-winning chef Giorgos Stylianoudakis to host a unique culinary experience on the island he met and loved. Fascinated by the high quality and uniqueness of the fresh local products from Tinos, Cyclades, and Crete (which is his birthplace), he combines them creatively, based on favorite traditional recipes. He uses fine dining techniques that highlight the valuable ingredients, but at the same time he focuses on simplicity, close to the “comfort food” style. The main goal of the restaurant (Kalopsia) is to communicate to his guest with the “Kalopsia” (Kalopsia: in ancient Greek the state in which everything and everyine looks good) of the culinary approach!

The Head Chef George Kostis and all the members of Kalopsia team surrounding Giorgos, do their best with professionalism, knowledge and big smiles in order to make his dream come true by offering unique tastes, textures and aromas you will find in the carefully curated menu. The dining experience begins with selections “For the middle of the Sea” (Fish Tartar Alla Speciota, Amberjack semi-cured fish, “Saganaki” shrimp, etc.), fresh salad (“Greek”, “Summer” or “Watermelon” salad with capers, olives, Tinos graviera and almonds) and dishes “From the Earth” such as Tsigaristo Lamb (slow-cooked lamb ribs with wine and fresh herbs). In the main dishes you will find flavors from the sea (Traxanoto with sautéed shrimps, Codfish, Kakavia) and meat (do not miss the Lamb Picanha with textures of artichoke) and “From The Wood Fire” whole fish of the day, seafood and meat specialties. The deserts include “Snickers”, “Orange Pie” and “Pistachio” prepared with creativity and originality.

The Kalopsia journey to the wines of Greece begins with examples from Tinos, Santorini and Paros as well as the other indigenous varieties of the Aegean islands, with a major stop on the island of Crete and continues through a comprehensive selection of wines that portrays the most important wine-producing regions of Greece as well as international varieties that have adopted beautifully to our country.

By completing the tasteful journey, you recognize that simplicity, excellent ingredients and high cooking technique are what led to “Kalopsia”…
