In 1975, George Amoiralis and Francis Foskolos returning to Tinos back from Athens and transferring their experience to their new business, they founded the Mesklies pastry shop.
In 1991, they opened the Mesklies cafe in the same area, giving their customers the opportunity to enjoy their coffee and sweets as well as the view of the port of Tinos.
Since then, they’ve ever been using the same high quality ingredients based on traditional Tinian recipes but also on new innovative ideas to create unique flavors. That’s how the brand name “Mesklies” became synonymous with the high quality pastry and established itself in the field of confectionery in Cyclades.
Today, faithful to the same values, they operate the patisserie that offers traditional sweets (almond “lychnarakia”, sweet cheese pies, “psarakia” – Christmas specialty, “xerotigana”, sesame based “pastelia”, etc.), sweets for weddings and baptisms or festive sweets, chocolates they produce themselves, and many more. They also operate the coffee shop that is open every day from early morning for coffee and breakfast to late evening for snacks and drinks.
