Triantaros is one of the villages close to Chora, a typical example of traditional Tinian architecture, picturesque with fantastic views. Triantaraki was born in Triantaros in the summer of 2017, the offspring of the owners’ love for Tinos, the village and the beautiful building that formerly housed the barber shop. Family and friends joined forces and resurrected life. They created a colorful space (note the colorful stairs), smartly balancing between the minimal-modern and the retro-traditional. With a warm and relaxing atmosphere, it will be your favorite hangout for every hour of the summer or winter days.

Flavors and dishes, all handmade, inspired by the local cuisine and tradition with creative touches. Start the day with a powerful breakfast (e.g. “Kayana”eggs, french toast with “tsoureki”- greek brioche, handmade traditional pies and fresh juices). Note that all doughs are now made in-house at the workshop they recently set up.

Tip: Particularly convenient for parents, the small certified playground just in front and the easy acces (no stairs if you use the upper parking for your car). Favourite spots: the balcony with great sea-views and the tables located in the old “Patitiri” (=wine press).

Continue with wine or raki, pairing them with appetizers made from local products, platters, pizza with handmade dough, Smyrni-style meatballs (soutzoukakia), tortilla with doner kebab, and many other delicacies. For the grand finale, choose a fresh dessert—”galaktoboureko”, orange pie (“portokalopita”), and the cheesecake are absolute must-tries—while the new addition is a can’t-miss: a soft cookie inspired by the traditional sweet “cheese pies” of Tinos, made with local “Petroma” cheese.

The wine list is extensive, focusing on small, high-quality producers from all over Greece, while also featuring every single label from the island without exception. There is also a unique selection of 25 different ouzos to accompany cured fish, lentil salad with smoked cod, charred fava dip with herring, bruschetta with marinated anchovies, pickled squid, and many more ouzo appetizers. Finally, the list of selected cocktails and spritzes will bring your evening to a perfect close.

LOCATION

Triantaraki is located at the top of the village. You can leave the car in the municipal car park and climb the stairs or continue the road to Dyo Choria and reach it from the alley that you will find left (follow the sign), immediately after the stone mill. You can park at the local parking lot just a few meters away and reach the venue by walking through the village alley without any steps (recommended for parents with strollers).
