NERO TINOS! Located on Agios Fokas beach, at the site of the “historic” Galaxias, Iakovos—bringing extensive experience in the Tinos culinary scene, meraki (passion), personal hard work, and love—created Nero years ago. It quickly established itself as the ideal hangout spot for any time of the day.

At Nero, the day flows like water (Nero in greek)… Just a few meters from the sea, with the sea breeze and a 180-degree view of the Aegean as the ultimate highlights, the day starts early for the early birds with premium quality coffee (“Island Roast,” a blend crafted specifically for Nero by a local producer), unsweetened ice tea, or a vitamin-packed, energy-boosting smoothie. Nero responds to the brunch trend with a traditional approach and an authentic kolatsio (mid-morning snack), based on raw ingredients carefully gathered from the owner’s garden and handmade dishes (fresh eggs cooked in various styles paired with local cheeses and cold cuts, pies, pancakes, Greek-style French toast, loukoumades, and more).

From 14:00, when the morning menu service finishes, the journey into the flavors and aromas of authentic Tinos continues. With respect and inspiration drawn from local tradition, the menu pays tribute to family farming and the village of Kechros, where Iakovos comes from. Pure ingredients are carefully transformed into dishes that honor simplicity and clean, traditional flavors, just like the old days. Carefully selected vegetables and garden produce feature in fresh salads (tender zucchini with cucumber and louza ham, grilled wild greens with manouri cheese, string beans with cherry plums, potato salad with “Kyr-Yiannis” capers, etc.) and beloved appetizers (tomato fritters with louza and capers, fried zucchini, stewed liver with rice, marinated anchovies on toasted bread). These are followed by well-cooked main courses (beef stew in tomato sauce, slow-cooked goat in a clay pot, oven-baked kontosouvli, chickpea stew with grilled squid, traditional imam, or moussaka, among others). Following the same concept, the sweet finale includes, among others, the traditional Tinian psaraki pastry served with vanilla ice cream and sour cherry spoon sweet, homemade orange pie, ekmek, and xerotigana with kaimaki ice cream.

In the evening, Nero awaits you for MAM & GLENTI (Food & Revelry). You start early for MAM with your choices from the refreshed menu, while the DJ’s selections keep the volume low and the mood relaxed as you enjoy your food and the sea view. As the night progresses, the GLENTI begins with upbeat rhythms, finding you gazing at the stars and the illuminated neighboring islands while holding a signature cocktail from a list focused on Greek spirits and aromas, with names borrowed from Tinian landmarks. And that is exactly how your summer days and nights pass at NERO!
