SVOURA TINOS. Svoura (=spinning top) starts turning and connecting the pedestrian street in Koukaki in Athens with the picturesque square of Komi in Tinos. The modern tavern was created with love and passion by a group of friends. After all, Svoura is a game and its role is to gather the companies and have a good time!
In SVOURA you forget the main dish. You order little, homely and tasteful dishes for the center of the table that will eventually turn round hand by hand. Dishes with Cycladic character and local products selected from the plain of Komi and other areas of Tinos, creatively combining in original recipes and fresh ingredients coming from the island (the menu changes monthly). Dishes acting as an evolution of the traditional gastronomy, such as the excellent string beans with garlic puree, mint, roasted almonds and salt blossom, the zucchini chips in beetroot “tzatziki”, the traditional “soutzoukakia” meatballs with parsley salad and roasted peppers, dishes with sea-aroma (the smoked octopus with pea puree and the taramosalata with anchovy marinade) but also dishes of the day such as the rooster with wine and handmade pasta, the beef cheeks with eggplant puree and the “thrapsalo” squid that will definitely go through your table.
Favorite flavors, local raki, good music, friendly atmosphere under the plane tree! You will return to Svoura again and again…
