In the southern part of the island, you will find the beaches closest to Tinos Town (Chora). To the east lies Agios Fokas, featuring numerous organized spots and beach bars. Heading west, you will successively encounter Kalamia (or Spitalia) by the port, Stavros with its picturesque seaside chapel, and Agios Markos, which also boasts a characteristic chapel and elevated views. Continuing further, you reach the long, sandy beach of Kionia, followed by the coves of Platia Ammos, Vourni, and Dialyskari.
Following the main road toward Exomeria, you will come across Panousa, Agios Romanos, Apigania, and Kantani. Near the villages of Isternia and Kardiani, you’ll find Isternia Bay and three consecutive stunning coves: Agios Petros, Kalyvia, and Kardiani (Giannaki) Bay. Finally, the more secluded beaches in this area include Vathy and Aspros Gialos (accessible by boat).
To the southeast and quite close to Chora are Agios Sostis, Agios Ioannis (Porto), and Skylandari (Laouti)—one of the island’s longest sandy beaches—as well as Pachia Ammos, famous for its characteristic sand dunes. Further north, Lychnaftia and Santa Margarita offer alternative options, while Agios Dimitrios remains more difficult to access.
