Next to the ancient temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite, a few meters from the beach you find the Tsampia tavern.
Built amphitheatrically with three balconies, it offers panoramic views of the beach of Kionia. Decorated with stone, white stone benches, meticulous flowerbeds with colorful flowers it gives a Cycladic atmosphere risen from the past. Besides, it is one of the oldest taverns with a history that starts in 1968.
The cuisine, traditional Greek mostly, focuses on local products. Tinian cheeses and sausages, froutalia(omellette), louza and braised Tinian spaghetti with local sausage. Be sure to try the specialties: chickpeas fricassee, stuffed cabbage, imam(stuffed eggplants), kontosouvli and pork with mushrooms, cooked in beer.
